No.113: Au Naturel

A self portrait, Au Naturel.  Notice the picture is a little out of focus.  A good thing I'm thinking ; ).

I'm joining up today with Mummy Mayhem and her Bloggers Without Make Up Day. I normally edit my pictures, but didn't with this one, except with a bit of brightening as the whole picture was a little on the dark side.

I also included this black and white self portrait au naturel on this post at my main blog Bungalow'56 where I am a little overwhelmed by the whole PORE situation.

But it's all good, as my daughters need to know I do not need to hide behind a mask per se. (except for my glasses which I tend to feel naked without)

To be truthful I seldom wear makeup.  Maybe on Sunday's to go to church or on a date with Daddy, but generally they get to see me "as is" most days.

That is not always the case with the pictures I choose to use for my blog though.  Which is kind of funny.

Am I the only one who is like this?

Thanks Mummy Mayhem for this link.  I am looking forward to all the Natural Beauties I will be sneaking a peek at!

In fact the photo's I've already had a chance to see have been absolutely gorgeous and I wish this was the media's main way of portraying women.  How wonderful would that be?

And if you have not yet had a chance to watch this video, please do, and promise you will show your daughters also.

I love that shot. Didn't notice the 'pore situation' (LOL), just the vibrant colours and great composition.

I want your hair - it is lovely! The photos are great! I have pores so big they resemble pools. Nothing seems to minimise them!

Gorgeous, especially the hair. I want it.
Also, I'm told by people who know such things that having big pores isn't a bad thing. It means you're probably more prone to pimples, but once you're past the pimple stage, it means that your skin probably won't wrinkle as badly, because the large pores help retain moisture and elasticity or something.

Pretty pictures. Like you mentioned, I think the hardest part for me was being without my glasses.

Those EYES of yours! Gorgeous. And I sympathize with the pore situation, though I think you look beautiful.

I'm the same. I'm much more careful with which pictures of myself I put on the blog than with how my family see me every day.

You are stunning by the way.
