After seeing some beautiful photo's focusing on bokeh, on The Pioneer Woman" website, I was determined to figure it out. Bokeh is taken from the Japanese word boke which means blur. The Bokeh in photography is the aesthetic quality of the blur. I was thrilled, as was my eldest, when we figured out how to acheive the twinkly lights in the background. I couldn't have asked for a more beautiful model either. I still have much to learn about Bokeh and will hopefully be able to show my progress over the next year.

What a great way to start off your project--this is such a beautiful picture!
Honestly, when I look at it, I can't believe I took it. I had just had a quick tutorial from a friend the night before, and with a tripod and some Christmas tree lights, everything worked out far better than I could have ever imagined.
Gorgeous!!
both the subject and the effect. ;)
Your progress is amazing! I love this shot. Beautiful.
Wow! That is gorgeous! You are very talented!
