No.14: Barbie
A friend came to visit today with her daughter who was home from Kindergarten. So the Barbie bucket was brought upstairs, out of it's recent obscurity. Later my two younger girls, uncharacteristically, started to play with them after school; dressing and piling one Barbie after another. My daughters obviously have collected many Barbies. I played with them as a young girl and didn't seem worse for wear. But the dolls have changed over the years. That smiling blond "girl next door" has gone by the way of darker versions with sultry come hither looks. I think she needs to find a new home. I wouldn't hang out with her, and neither should my daughters.
