2012: Jan 8 - 14

Jan 8
Doing the dishes with my new rubber gloves.
They were one of several great Christmas gifts from my Youngest sister.

Jan 9
While I hate to change allegiances, this might have to become my new favourite hand cream.

Jan 10
I tried my hand at some product photography.
It was late at night with only fourescent lighting, but it still ended up looking pretty.

Jan 11
Recycling has become a whole lot easier now that a truck comes to pick it up and we don't have to sort.
Can you tell she is very happy about this?

Jan 12
We have had so little snow this winter.  Although it is scheduled to come in a few days.
This the first time the girls had to shovel.
It was such a nice warm and sunny day, it was nice to be outside.

Jan 13
I'm not sure when someone did this.
I loved that the figurines are all set in a circle around baby Jesus.
On the 6th when the three kings arrived, they did so by zip lining from
the window sill using the roman blind cord, with help from Middlest.

Jan 14
This was a nice evening.
Dad took Middlest and Eldest to the mall to pick up a birthday gift and
Youngest and I got to spend some time together enjoying a few shows of H2O,
eating popcorn and have a few rounds of Ruckus.
Youngest won every single set.  It was a good night.

2012: Jan 1 - 7

blowing glitter
Jan 1
The girls wanted to try a glitter picture, but we didn't have any glitter.
So instead we used craft sparkles.  The pictures didn't turn out the way I had hoped.
But a little cropping sure does makes a difference.

Jan 2
Her hair is Ombre.
I don't care if they dye their hair, since it's not permanent.
The permanent stuff?  That I care about.

Jan 3
Chopping away.  Youngest is growing up.
She started eating cream cheese just out of the blue.
Decided to try that thing she hated and wouldn't you know it?  Is now a cream cheese lover.

Jan 4
The basement is being used.  I'll find the girls crafting on the table or studying.
It's working out far better than I ever imagined.

Jan 5
Watching the Russia Sweden Junior Hockey overtime.  Dad wasn't even home.
With a little colouring for good measure.
The girls kept calling me to come down because it was so exciting.

Jan 6
The dying of her hair was a success.
She's head over heals in love with the outcome.

Jan 7
Middlest took this picture.
I thought it was really cool.
She was standing on the counter, trying to get a picture of me washing the dishes,
(because I had asked her to for a post for later this week)
and this is what she ended up with.
I love happy accidents like that.

Along with the basement the upstairs was a domino effect.

Trying to remember an outfit she liked.

A little vignette of snowmen.

2011: Dec 12-18

The girls finished their masterpiece!
Dec 12

Youngest and her friend took a few more days,
and ended up using these "skirts" as tops with straps,
along with matching purses.
Dec 13

I went with The Agronomist to the city for his companies Christmas Party.
This was the night before where we enjoyed a wonderful meal.
Dec 14

This picture was sent to Eldest as I had the day to shop by myself.
I needed help making a few decisions.
Dec 15

Back at home, we started preparing for Christmas.  I love our new decorations.
Dec 16

Middlest's bedroom is almost finished painting.
Dec 17

The most delicious chocolate cookie recipe we have ever tasted.
Youngest went to a friends house to bake and brought back some of her creations.

2011: Dec 5-Dec 11

Skating with her class.
Dec 5

Decorating the tree.
Dec 6

 The tree is almost done.
Trying to tease her sister, pretending to read.
Dec 7

Eldest already has all of her gifts bought and wrapped under the tree.
Dec 8

Youngest's class went swimming. She had a great time.
Dec 9

Grocery shopping with mom after soccer.  She was tired and wanted to go home.
Attending the Boy's Choir Christmas Concert.  Our favourite was "A Blue Christmas."
Dec 10

Working on the Duct Tape outfits. Both pairs worked so well together, and for several hours.
I was very impressed.
